SYCAMORE PEDESTAL TABLE

A beautiful, handmade pedestal table made from English rippled sycamore. This stunning piece features a laminated circular top which is reinforced with cross rails to ensure the top is stable and durable while also allowing for seasonal movement. The top features a contemporary under bevel to soften while maintaining a crisp flat edge. The pedestal leg is turned from one solid, quarter-sawn board to maximise strength and stability while also providing an even and uniform grain. The base is intelligently designed to ensure there is no short grain which would compromise strength. The base is made of three pieces which are joined together resulting in long grain running outwards from the centre. This design ensures an incredibly strong and sturdy base to support the large top.

The sycamore is bleached to even out the colour and remove any blemishes and imperfections in the timber and also gives the stunning white aesthetic. The table was then sprayed with a high-gloss, water-based lacquer and buffed to a high polish.  

This pedestal table is a beautiful addition to any room and helps to add a little elegance and luxury.
